Dear Parent/Carer
It is at this time of the year when we would like to celebrate the hard work of the students at The St Lawrence Academy and this year we have a choice of four trips for your child to choose from. The trips will take place on Monday 13th July 2026. You are able to pay for and view details regarding these trips via ParentPay.
The trips available are as follows…
- Alton Towers (240 places) – £50.30 – to include entry to the theme park and transport by bus. A pack up and drinks will be required or money to purchase refreshments. We will leave the academy at approximately 7:30 am & return at around 5 pm. Students do not need to wear uniform, but suncream, a hat, and coat is advisable. (This trip can be paid in 2 installments if required)
- Yorkshire Wildlife Park (57 places) – £18.25 – to include transport by bus. A pack up and drinks will be required or money to purchase refreshments. We will leave the academy at approximately 9 am & return around 3.30 pm. Students do not need to wear uniform, but suncream, a hat, and coat is advisable
- Scunthorpe Bowling (160 places) – £10.95 – to include 1hr of bowling and choice of food. Students will attend the academy in the morning for activities and then be escorted to Scunthorpe Bowling on Warren Road for 1pm. Students can either make their own way home from bowling or walk back to the academy with staff. Students are to wear academy PE kit.
- Vue Cinema – A voluntary contribution of £1 – Students are to meet at the cinema at 8.30 am and they will be escorted back to the academy after watching the film, for lunch and the afternoon session of activities at the academy. Students are to wear academy PE kit.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- All payments must be received by Tuesday 2nd June 2026.
- Please ensure you only book your child on one trip.
- All payments are non refundable.
- Your child cannot move from one trip to another.
- Places are limited for each trip ( except the cinema) and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis upon payment.
- If your child has earned rewards towards trips from the rewards assemblies these will be refunded back to your parentpay account, for you to use towards another payment item or request a refund back to your bank account.
- Any money taken is your child’s responsibility.
We envisage that all students will take part in one of the trips, however if your child’s behaviour is unacceptable, we reserve the right to withdraw them from any of the trips and notify you accordingly.
Further information regarding the trip your child has selected will be sent out via Evolve after the payment closing date.
