Karen Regan

I am extremely proud to be able to contribute my skills and experience to the board, having worked at the Academy for 8 years, and having over 25 years working in the education sector.  I was born and raised in Scunthorpe, so the community means a lot to me and I will work tirelessly to foster positive relationships with students, parents and guardians.

Food education is a huge passion of mine, it is a real privilege to see students engage and succeed in cooking.

I am a strong advocate for inclusive education, I am in a privileged position where I am a parent of a child with special educational needs, who attends the Academy.  This personal experience has allowed me an innate understanding of the diverse learning needs of all students and to foster a relentless commitment to ensuring that every child, regardless of their abilities or challenges, receives a quality education.
