Dear Parents and Carers

The final stages of your child’s academic journey are arriving rather quickly and it is time for the final preparation and dedication to revision which will allow your child to make the best possible progress in their final GCSE exams.

Attendance is imperative, if your child is not attending, they will miss vital key information and increasing levels of support from our subject specialist teachers.

I have attached some key dates to make you aware of:

Preparation for Success (essential for all parents and students) – Tuesday 31st March 4pm

GCSE exam period: Monday 11th May – Wednesday 17th June 2026

Valediction and End of Year Celebration  – Friday 26th June 1:30pm start, into the evening

The ‘Preparation for Success’ evening is for all students and parents to attend the academy to discuss your child’s progress with their subject teachers. They will focus on how to close gaps in learning to achieve the best possible grade.  Appointments are to be made through bookings on Arbor.

The GCSE exam period begins with an extremely intensive week of exams.  Students MUST attend all of their examinations (as there is no rewrite opportunity) and it is imperative that they arrive punctually each day.

We have recently had the opportunity to invite ‘Positively You’ in to support the students and parents in identifying further revision methods that could support them. I also thank those parents who attended the twilight session as they found it very valuable.  Further resources are available via the Google Classroom for your child to use and it also includes playlists that can aid revision. Please encourage them to show this to you.

Now is the time for us to triangulate the support between yourselves, us and your child in order to ensure they reach their potential.

Finally, I am excited to share with you the dates for our Valediction and ‘End of Year Celebration’.  We are looking forward to being able to celebrate as an academy with the full Year 11 cohort.  All students will be invited to the Valediction whilst the End of Year Celebration will be a ticketed event at the cost of £20 per person.  This will be payable via Parent Pay and goes live on Monday 16th March with a deadline of Tuesday 21st April. The events will take place at The Baths Hall where we can celebrate the end of exams in addition to the end of their academic journey.  Further information will be released in due course but if you require any financial support, please contact myself or Mrs Kock on the email addresses below.

We are looking forward to seeing you at the “Preparation for Success” event, beginning with an initial meeting in the hall at 4pm until 4:30pm to share some important information to support you in these final stages.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Yours sincerely
