Dear Parents and Carers

I am writing to you today with a friendly but important reminder concerning our school uniform policy, specifically regarding student trousers.

We have recently observed an increasing number of students wearing trousers that do not comply with the specified uniform standards. In particular, we have seen a rise in styles such as heavily flared or overtly tight/skinny trousers. While we appreciate students’ desire to keep up with current fashion trends, it is essential that the school uniform maintains a smart, professional, and consistent appearance for all students.

For a reminder of the academy uniform policy, and clear guidance on acceptable/ unacceptable uniform items, please visit the academy website on the link below:

Uniform Policy

We expect all students to be in correct uniform immediately following the upcoming half-term break. We understand that parents may need time to purchase replacement items, and we wanted to give you notice before the break begins. We believe that adherence to the uniform policy is vital in promoting a positive learning environment, instilling a sense of belonging, and preparing students for the standards expected in professional life.

If you require confidential financial support to ensure your child meets this uniform standard, please contact your child’s Head of Year as soon as possible, as there are support options available.

We thank you for your continued support in reinforcing these standards at home.

Yours sincerely,

Dan Ellerby

Headteacher
