Dear Parents/Carers
We would like to bring to your attention the joint letter recently issued by the Secretaries of State for Education and for Health and Social Care to parents of secondary school and college students in England on Covid-19 testing and vaccines. Please follow the link to view the full letter.
We would like to add our thanks too to you, our parents and carers during this difficult time and we would also like to concur to ask for your continued support to make sure your children are able to stay in face to face learning by encouraging them to :
- test themselves for COVID-19 twice a week, and more frequently if they are specifically asked to do so. This way, we can find individuals who have the virus but are not showing symptoms, and stop them from passing it on to others.
- if your child has symptoms or has a positive LFT test they must book a PCR test and isolate until the results are received and notify us of the results.
- come forward for the COVID-19 vaccine. This is one of the best things young people can do to protect themselves and those around them.
We thank those of you who have already submitted vaccination forms, and we were as disappointed as you that our vaccination programme was delayed. If , however, you have not yet handed your vaccination form in and would still like to do so, you can still hand this in.
Please be aware these vaccination forms are different to the Flu vaccination forms which have also just been issued electronically.
If you require further testing kits, these can be collected from our academy reception, or you can contact us by telephone or email to request that your child brings some home, or they can collect some from student services.
With many thanks for your continued supportYours sincerely
Phill Dalowsky
